God is Love

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20John%204:7-12&version=ESV

These past 30 days, I have written statements of love that were authored by God Himself as declared throughout scripture. The purpose was to show God’s love for us, and how we are to express our love for Him, by loving others.

That being said, many will not want to hear what comes next!

As a collective whole, we have failed in this one greatest command. We, as a whole, have placed priority on ourselves, seeking to satisfy our own selfish appetite. This is not to say there have not been glimmers of selfless actions toward others, but to say the scales have tipped in the wrong direction.

We are all guilty of creating a senseless, negative ripple that turned into a damaging wave down the line. Sometimes we witnessed its destruction but failed to mend the resulting harm. While other times, we were oblivious to the damage it caused.

We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23)

All of this is to say that the “whole of us” has taken some part in where we are today and the events of this modern time. We all must reflect and humbly come to God, repent, seek His guidance and trust in His promise.

This is what I plan to do, will you join me?

Heavenly Father, I humbly come to You and submit to Your authority over heaven and earth. I ask forgiveness for all my transgressions and sins towards others and your commands. Please guide my actions to accomplish Your will and not my own. I thank You Father for all that You are as I ask these things through Your Son Jesus. Amen.

Thank you Michael. I’ve been in a season of lamentation, asking God to cleanse me and show me how to Love as He wants us to love. Your daily verses and sharing your heart today have been very encouraging.
